Rev. Guy Beausoleil

I joined the Ontario Public Service (OPS) in Corrections as a Duty Chaplain in 2018. In this role, I apply a broad range of pastoral and interpersonal skills, including crisis support, conflict de-escalation, spiritual care, cultural sensitivity, ethical guidance, and effective communication within high-pressure environments. In my role as Chaplain, I meet the many and varied spiritual and religious care needs of the broader multi-faith inmate population. This includes staff and families within the local Correctional community. All of this is done on a case by case need, using best practice methods, active listening technics and by being fully present to those in need. By quickly creating an atmosphere of relational trust, the process of help and healing, in often emotionally charged settings, begin. The transformational process can then follow. We are now on the road to happy destiny.
